Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee Scholarship

The PSATS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee exists to increase Athletic Training scholarship and clinical education opportunities for current and prospective Student Athletic Trainers from underrepresented and underserved communities.

We are proud to partner with Major League Soccer (MLS) to announce a PSATS DEI and MLS Medical Symposium Scholarship to attend the 2023 MLS Medical Symposium in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Saturday, December 16^th, 2023. This is one of the foremost soccer specific sports medicine and Athletic Training education events that will include leaders in the field and clinicians from across the country.

PSATS and MLS will award one scholarship recipient a symposium registration and reimbursement for up to $750 in travel expenses to attend the event. Applicants must be an Athletic Training Student currently enrolled in a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program who represents an underrepresented or underserved community. The application is BELOW and the deadline for completion is Saturday, November 11^th.

We aim for this to be the first of many PSATS DEI and MLS efforts to increase Athletic Training opportunities for underserved and underrepresented communities and look forward to seeing everyone that can attend in Ft. Lauderdale!
