Jacob Joachim is entering his 4th year as ReAl Salt Lake’s Head Athletic Trainer. He has been with RSL from its inception in 2005. Previous to RSL, Joachim was employed for 5 years by AthletiCo Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy. After his first two years with AthletiCo in Chicago, the company contracted him as Head Athletic Trainer for the United States Soccer Federation’s under-17 program based in Bradenton, Florida. While under contract with AthltetiCo, Joachim also worked with USSF’s under-14 boys, under-16 women, under-17 men, under-18 men, under-20 men, and the full Men’s National Team. Before leaving Chicago and in addition to his full-time employment with AthletiCo, Joachim worked for the Chicago Fire Reserve team (PDL), Chicago Sockers youth teams, and the Chicago Sockers (PDL).
Jacob Joachim graduated from North Park University with a BS in Sports Medicine with an Athletic Training emphasis in December of 1999. He is currently a member of the Professional Soccer Athletic Trainer Association (PSATS).
