Position: Head Athletic Trainer

Position Type: Full-time

Purpose:

Manage the day-to-day Athletic Training operation for the Houston Dynamo FC. Duties are performed under the direction of the Director of Sports Medicine and supervision of the Chief Medical Officer. The Head Athletic Trainer will work closely and communicate daily with the Head Coach, President of Soccer, Technical Director, Head of Performance, Director of Sports Medicine, and Chief Medical Officer.

Qualification Requirements:

• Extensive experience in the field of Athletic Training. - Required
• Experience in a professional sports environment to be able to lead the athletic training room as a skilled clinician and to also understand the pace and dynamics of an elite sports team. – Required
• Be involved in our return to play process. - Required
• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. - Required
• Must be NATABOC certified and licensed in the State of Texas to practice Athletic Training. - Required
• Certifications: CSCS, PES, LMT, and/or NREMT Certified Performance Sports Specialist (CPSS). - Preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. - Preferred
• Must have ability to travel internationally. - Required
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. – Required
• Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese. - Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, or related health care field 
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a certified Athletic Trainer
• Active and valid CPR Certification for Health Care Provider
• NATABOC (or CATA) Certified Athletic Trainer
• In good standing with NATABOC 
• Maintained professional liability insurance 

• Master’s Degree in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or related health care field from a CAATE recognized school and valid state license
• Minimum of 3 years of certified Head Athletic Trainer experience in sports environment or specifically in professional soccer
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing Athletic Trainers and Athletic Training teams
• CSCS or LMT Certification
• HIPAA compliant Course and Health Information Certification

• This role offers a salary range of $70,000-$80,000
