Head Athletic Trainer
Bo Leonard is starting his fourth year with the Chicago Fire, first as the team’s Head Athletic Trainer, after a season of interim Head Athletic Training duties. Bo joined the Fire staff in February 2007 as the team's Assistant Athletic Trainer. As a four+ year employee of AthletiCo, Leonard has had the opportunity to serve as the Head Athletic Trainer for Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, IL and as an intern Certified Athletic Trainer for the Chicago Bears during their successful 2006-2007 season before joining the Chicago Fire. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Leonard graduated from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and received his Master of Science in Cardiac Rehabilitation from Eastern Illinois University. While at Eastern, he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the men's soccer program for two years. Leonard, a resident of Evergreen Park, IL, is a member of the Professional Soccer Athletic Training Society (PSATS) and the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA).
